Au Revoir

The bill was steep at 392 euros. I was offered many mignardises but took a caramel and a small Tart Tatin. Overall a delicious experience with great service in a pretty setting. I get the three stars.

I also turned down dessert wine when I got my light desert of raw and roasted figs with cream and Spanish Sherry Granitas over custard. I was only able to eat half of it! It was, however, beautiful.

I refused the cheese, but could smell it from my table when a couple on the other side of the room ordered it!

Alain Ducasse at the Plaza Athenee: 3 Star Michelin #1

by AFG

So, in an attempt to eat at all the Michelin 3 stars in Paris, I am at the first stop in a 5 restaurant arc: Alain Ducasse.

A beautiful space in the posh Hotel Plaza Athenee, my lunch here was delicious. But did have a couple of weird things."

Although late by 45 mins, service was excellent. My meal stated with a glass of Rosé Deutz Champagne. Followed by two canapés, turkey on orange bread and lardo from Bayonne.

After an hour delay at JFK, the flight is more than an hour and a half late to Paris. It is 12:07. My first lunch reservation is 1pm. Will I make it by 1:15? The heat is on.
